Are you looking for flights to Havana? All you have to do is choose the airport, day and time of departure and enjoy one of the most unforgettable stays of your life. The Cuban capital is synonymous with fun, good food and hospitality. All of this is nestled in a pleasant and authentic context, which allows you to relive the charm of a by-gone era, among colonial-style buildings and neighbourhoods abounding with scents and colours. Take a look at the flights to Havana and set off for the most picturesque island in the Caribbean!
José Martì airport is Havana's main airport. It is situated 18 kilometres from the city and is perfectly connected to the capital and the country's major tourist destinations. There's no shortage of buses and taxis, in addition to the shuttles made available by the main hotel chains. There are also so-called collective taxis, which are simply minibuses characterised by the "Taxi" number plate: a one-way trip to Havana on these vehicles costs less than a dollar!
Any visit to the Cuban capital must begin on the Malecon, the city's waterfront boulevard. Habana Vieja is also worth a visit. The historic centre winds around four main squares: Plaza de Armas, with a towering ceiba tree and a second-hand book market; Plaza Vieja; Plaza de San Francisco de Asís, located near the port; Plaza de la Catedral, featuring a wonderful baroque cathedral. The neighbourhood is a UNESCO heritage site and introduces visitors to the modern city, which is symbolised by the Capitolio Nacional.
The city's coastline is known as Playas Del Este. It includes several beaches, almost all of which are equipped for visitors who want to practice water sports. Playa Bacuranao stands out among the rest. It is especially recommended for snorkelling enthusiasts, thanks to the wreckage of an ancient galleon and the coral reef. Santa Maria del Mar is also a fascinating destination, protected by long rows of palm trees that confer a wild appearance. Finally, do not miss Playa Jibacoa, valued for its white sand and the nearby coral reef.
The best place to enjoy a unique sunset is La Torre bar, located on the top floor of the Focsa building. Do not miss Bodeguita and El Floridita, as well as the FAC (Fabrica de Arte Cubana). Located between the Vedado and Miramar districts, the FAC is a mix of art and style: exhibitions and shows are blended with a really interesting offering.
