Bratislava Christmas markets (Vianocné trhy Bratislava) are known as among the most interesting in Central - Eastern Europe. They take place every year from late November to Christmas Eve and are staged in the city's main square (Hlavné námestie), in the square of the Franciscans (Františkánske námestie) and in Hviezdoslav Square (Hviezdoslavovo námestie). This market focuses on Slovak traditions with regard to local food specialties, crafts and gift ideas.
